There is a strong and growing Indian community in the Southern part of Sweden who either come from India, has Indian origins or people who have interest in the Indian religions.
There is a need to promote Indian cultural, religious and traditions customs amongst the community in Skane .This would benefit both adults and children to establish connection to their roots and promote good values.
It has been a long desire of the Indian community living in Skane (Southern Sweden) to have a Indian temple which can serve as a common platform for religious activities.
It has been the vision of Kannan Krishnan - Chairman of Indian Association in Skane to get a group of common minded, professional & strong willed individuals to start laying the foundation for a non-profit organisation with the long term vision to establish a Indian temple in southern Sweden. This resulted in the formation of Indian Cultural Center which has been registered as a non-profit Indian cultural organisation during 2014.
Our vision is to establish a platform for the betterment of the Indian community by promoting the cultural, religious and traditional values of India
Our mission is to establish a Indian temple in a period of 18-36 months by having a clear roadmap. This needs the blessings of the almighty, a strong community support and lot of good ideas and hard work. Indian Cultural Center of Sweden will create the platform for the Indian community to come together and fulfill the dream of establishing a Indian temple in southern Sweden.
